What kind of services does H3 provide?

Assessment Tools

H3 Therapy utilizes the Verbal Behavior Milestone Assessment and Placement Program(VB-MAPP), PEAK Relational Training, and Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, as well as, other supplemental behavioral, academic, and adaptive skills assessments. (i.e.: AFLS, Bellini Social Skills Profile, Nisonger Child Behavior Rating Form, Adolescent Autonomy Checklist, TRIAD Social Skills Assessment) Utilizing these assessment protocol allows for individualized academic curriculum planning that maximizes your child areas of strength while targeting his or her areas of deficiency. We assess our clients biannually, to ensure the child's progress is not impeded by outdated programming. We are also pleased to announce that all our BCBA supervisors are Level 1 PEAK certified.

Technology

Each of our staff uses iPads for data collection. This allows our supervisors real-time access to the data collection, long gone are the days of binders and paper systems! Our use of HIPAA compliant digital technology ensures the progresses your child has made are accurately documented and alleviates any disparity in antiquated data collection, like binder systems, that are wrought with problems such as: data corruption, data loss, and potential security breaches. . It also allows our BCBA supervisors, as well as, clients with multiple behavior technicians to access session-to-session data as it is being taken. It is our goal to provide the most comprehensive and accurate therapy services for your child.

In Home Therapy

Whether through direct services with a BCBA or therapy provided by a Registered Behavior Technicians, our staff comes to you. We believe in modifying the behavior where the behavior occurs. More times than not, that behavior is in the every day environment. Additionally, we are proud to say that all of our staff hold the RBT credential from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. As our in home providers are currently assigned to many retiree families, we anticipate lengthy waitlist for in home services at this time.

In Clinic Therapy

After years of working in home, we found that for some, clinic based services were a much better fit.  So in August 2023, we opened a new facility geared to providing in clinic sessions for those interested.  Unlike other places, we strive to make a home like, group setting feel without the rigidity of a set schedule or small treatment rooms.  We aimed to design a place where our kids can be themselves and have fun with their friends while still receiving the one on one therapy we provide. It has always been our goal to be child led and have found, regardless of the setting, that this was possible and everyone, the kids and the staff, enjoyed the experience much more than other approaches.

In School Therapy

Our BCBA, in some cases, may be able to provide services in school with your child to address behaviors that may be barriers to his or her educational experience. It is our goal to be an integral part of your child's full educational programming. In the CMCSS school district, we have met the outside service provider requirements to apply for access to clients who are students in the CMCSS schools. To meet this requirement, our employees have been fingerprinted and background checked through the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Even with the most recent update to our funding source restrictions on in school services, we still have been and continue to be successful in providing justification for in school behavioral programming for our clients with our BCBA staff. Due to the requirements to receive in school services, we generally function on applying for approval the school year prior and tend to book out our in school services 6 month in advance. As such, receiving and arranging in school services is a lengthy process should we have openings come available with our BCBA staff.

Community Outings

While there has been much speculation about where and how therapy sessions can occur, we work with insurance to find the appropriate setting to address the generalization component of your child’s hard work. While we may have to begin in home working our skills, just as you might run on the treadmill for the marathon, eventually, the shoes have to meet the road. Our job is to facilitate and get those generalized settings approved with your insurance and it is something we are still having success with today.

Parent Training

Communicating with a child with autism can be challenging at times, especially if you have older children not on the spectrum. Autism will turn everything you know about raising a child on it's ear! As parents sometimes need to reassess what we know to be true. Our staff will work with you to teach you how to engage your child with autism in a way that enhances the outcome for both parent and child. While “Parent Training” is certainly a misnomer, we are here to help you and your family learn the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. We don’t aim to train or critique your parenting, but are here to help you in your family’s autism journey.
