What kind of services does H3 Therapy provide?

  • Assessment Tools:
H3 Therapy utilizes the Verbal Behavior Milestone Assessment and Placement Program(VB-MAPP) and Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, as well as, other supplemental behavioral, academic, and adaptive skills assessments. (i.e.: AFLS, Bellini Social Skills Profile, Nisonger Child Behavior Rating Form, Adolescent Autonomy Checklist, TRIAD Social Skills Assessment) Utilizing these assessment protocol allows for individualized academic curriculum planning that maximizes your child areas of strength while targeting his or her areas of deficiency. We assess our clients biannually, to ensure the child's progress is not impeded by outdated programming.  Additionally, our use of digital technology ensures the progresses your child has made are accurately documented and alleviates any disparity in antiquated data collection, like binder systems, that are wrought with problems such as: data corruption, data loss, and potential security breaches.
  • Technology:
Each of our staff uses iPads for data collection.  This allows our supervisors real-time access to the data collection, long gone are the days of binders and paper systems!  Additionally, we utilize a HIPPAA compliant cloud based system that securely stores all data collection.  This significantly decreases the potential for any data security breaches and/or data loss that paper/pencil have.  It also allows our BCBA supervisors, as well as, clients with multiple behavior technicians to access session-to-session data as it is being taken.  It is our goal to provide the most comprehensive and accurate therapy services for your child.
  • In Home Therapy:
Whether through direct services with a BCBA or therapy provided by a Registered Behavior Technicians, our staff comes to you. Why settle for clinical based services in an office somewhere downtown? We believe in modifying the behavior where the behavior occurs. More times than not, that behavior is in the every day environment.  Additionally, we are proud to say that all of our staff hold the RBT credential from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • In School Therapy:
Our therapists, in some cases, may be able to attend school with your child to address behaviors that may be barriers to his or her educational experience. It is our goal to be an integral part of your child's full educational programming. In the CMCSS school district, we have met the outside service provider requirements to apply for access to clients who are students in the CMCSS schools.  To meet this requirement, our employees have been fingerprinted and background checked through the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
  • IEP Meetings:
It has been our experience that schools don't necessarily compose the best educational goals when it comes to dealing with children on the spectrum. It's not that they don't try… Most schools just lack the knowledge and experience to really understand how our kids learn. We do! Let us advocate for your child to ensure that the schools actually accomplish meaningful and worthwhile education goals for your child.
  • Outings:
Do you have a hard time getting through the grocery store or going out to eat? Is your child a safety risk by not holding your hand when crossing a busy street or parking lot? Public places for families with children with autism can present many challenges. We can help here as well!
  • Medical Appointments:
How many times have you avoided taking your child to the doctor or dentist due to their fear of these places? We will work to address the negative behaviors associated with his or her fear of these medical visits and ensure your child is working towards tolerating a necessary part of life.
  • Parent Training:
Communicating with a child with autism can be challenging at times. Especially if you have older children not on the spectrum. Autism will turn everything you know about raising a child on it's ear! We parents sometimes need to reassess what we think, we know to be true. Our staff can work with you to teach you how to engage your child with autism in a way that enhances the outcome for both parent and child.
